Statworks founded in 2000 by Mah-J Soobader, Ph.D, is a woman- and minority-owned statistical consulting firm with expertise in health research.  Our team of PhD-level professionals has expertise in: social epidemiology, biostatistics, survey methodology, demography, economics and computer science.  Statworks has provided research expertise, guidance, and consulting services in the area of health disparities for clients such as the National Center for Health Statistics, Harvard University, Stanford University, University of California at San Francisco, and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 

We offer a range of statistical analyses including multilevel analysis and upon request provide a publication ready report explaining the statistical methods and results.  In the area of primary data collection we offer survey design and implementation for paper and pencil and web surveys including sampling, questionnaire design and data base construction as well as support.  Another key area that we focus on is program evaluation and outcome assessment. 

Statworks’ portfolio of data sets includes the NHIS, NHANES, BRFSS, Add Health, YRSB, PSID, CPS, historical CENSUS, and CCD, with the supporting portfolio of statistical software comprising SAS, S-PLUS, STATA, SPSS, LIMDEP, SUDAAN, HLM, MLwiN, WinBUGS, Mplus, aML, EVIEWS, and GAUSS.  We are experienced professionals and recognize the unique needs of each research project- to that end if need be we bring on board specialized experts to ensure we meet each individual client's needs.
